Six flags

Six flags great America this place is so amazing because it has so many awesome roller coasters. One of my favorite rides was the V2 ride !. I loved it because it went forward and backwards really fast. Another one of the things I liked was that it wasn't too hot outside it was raining and cold. It was still kinda backed however I recalled it being more backed in the summer. The batman and the x flight were pretty amazing too ! I would recommend anyone to go out to six flags in the summer and just have an Amazing time!.

Dinner dance

Dinner dance for the 8th grade only  was amazing because I was there will all my friends and we all were sitting down eating at this very elegant place. The DJ made us all get up and dance to batchta music we all definitely had an amazing time!.This was one incredible night and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Afterwards my feet were hurting so bad because of my shoes but it was worth it !. This 8th class is amazing and I feel like we're the best!.

Backlash

This book is about a 2 girls Lara Kelly and Bree conners when Lara was in middle school she was bullied. But when she got to high school things changed so much for Lara you see Lara and Bree were best friends. When  they got to high school Bree found it the perfect opportunity to escape Lara's late night depressing phone calls. Bree conners was on the cheer leading team basically all of her life but when she got to high school things changed. Lara decided to try out for the cheer team and she made it!.Bree was upset because Lara took her place days later Lara got a facebook message from this boy Christian Dewitt he flirted with her and made her believe that he liked her.




Then a few days later she gets horrible messages from "Christian" Lara can't take it no more so she decides to do something horrible. You have to read the book to find out what she did and who "Christian really was".I liked this book because it shows a lot of twisted teen drama and how fast friends come and go. I recommend this book because it explains how fast someone's life can change within a blink of an eye. It also shows how it could tare a family apart by one little mistake. This book is incredible and I totally recommend it

Carnival

The carnival that I went to was in cicero and my favorite ride was the freak out  because it went really high and I didn't have to wait in line. And plus I was with my cousins and my family and we all had a good time plus it was really packed and I seen all my old friends. We all got on rides together and we went to McDonald's afterwards. This was a fun time because we all left in good spirits my family was worried about us being in Cicero because of the violence but it was an amazing time. Mainly everyone was getting along and everyone was in a good mood. We even went into the fun house which has moving stairs and stuff I really loved this weekend I recommend the Cicero carnival!. Even tho I went on some of the rides solo.

This is our world too

This book we were assigned to read is during our CBL class because of the teen activism stuff we were learning about and the one girl I read about was Norvelle smith and she lived in the south side of Chicago. She went to john hope middle school and she got pure pressured to be into a gang but she was brave and rejected them. Then her school held a writing contest and she wanted to be apart of it she decided to write a poem about gangs and how they are brain washing they little brother and sisters in our neighborhoods that gangs are good. You have to read the book to find out if her poem was successful or if it went bad. The reason that I picked norvelle smith is because her story was inspirational and because she was really brave to stand up infort of a lot of people. I've recalled  many of people who were scared for presentations because of the croud.

I thought that this book was a really good one because it gives you a variety of options to read and it explains how life was and they show there life experiences. One of the reasons that I had to read this book is because it was in CBLwhich stands for Challenge based learning. My teacher made us read one of the teen activists I found this really cool because these are teens that had a problem and they wanted to change it. I really enjoyed reading this book and I think you would too even if you don't like any topics that are in this book.You could find one and just start reading it and before you know it you're interested!.

Regrets

Some of the things that I regret is not making friends with everyone because I had my clique but mostly everyone else did too. But that's one thing I regret because everyone that I had out with is really cool I just feel like I could of been friends with more people or maybe not. I like the friends I have now there a good group of kids to hang out with because they have my back no matter what. They are my riders because if one of us is in trouble or having problems the other one is always right there. We would never leave each other hanging. At least I know that mostly my whole group will be going to Morton west highschool. Which is cool I'm just hoping that we don't split up during highschool because that would really suck.  I know that I have retold my story to my family before. I've  found the group I'm with and I hope that I stay with them through out highschool .

The wonderful 8 last weeks

This last couple weeks I want to make it count because we only have a couple weeks left and we all should make a change for the better for heritage. We have graduation coming up and only a short time of school left I know I want to go out with a bang!. This 8th grade class will be one that I will retell for many years to come. The last 3 years we have spent at heritage getting to know each other and now we're going to be sent out into high school and most of us are splitting up and going to different ways and to different high schools. Heritage class of 2017 will be the best class of heritage. We only have 4 weeks of school left but we do have some fun  days coming up like 6 flags which I'm stoked about because it's gonna be fun. And the dinner dance is also coming up which means everyone is going to look really nice. It's going to be a memory for the class of 2017.

I feel that women rights are not being Acknowledged and much as they should be because we are all human beings and we all deserve the same rights. Us women deserve to be able to play the same sport without being told no. We fought for being able to vote and we were able to get it. I think that we are able to fight for what we want at least I know that I want to play football or baseball because they are really fun sports I want to play the same way the men and boys play. We should not get told no or that we would get hurt because I don't think that is the case. Even if we do get hurt it's a risk that I'm willing to take because I wouldn't do anything to hurt myself on purpose. Girls should be able to do or play whatever we want without people trying to stop us. Anything a guy could do a girl could do.

I feel like women don't get treated the same and it's  been the same for a long time in history .
History is repeating itself with women with the rights and sports because it wasn't right for them to be less them the regular human we are all humans also with the payments that the girls get compared to men they get paid way more by doing the same job. I've comprehend that girls should get the same rights as boys .The time in my life when I felt most powerful is when I stood up for what was right and didn't let anyone change my mind about what I felt . So I took at stand and never looked back because I known what I was doing was right I stood up for my little sister when people were saying mean things about her and I felt I had to sick up for her there was not other option.

Life is beautiful

In the movie life is beautiful there is some connections to the readings we have done like how the Germans came and took all the Jews and the people who were against Hitler. Some of the connections that they have made in the movie to our readings is when the nazis took over all of the Jews business. Also how they had the camps in our readings and in the movie life is beautiful and another thing is how the nazis wrote on the Jews property they wrote hateful things on there businesses and animals. But also they published things in the news papers about the Jews hopping that they would just leave one more connection that was in the movie and in the readings were that Hitler hated anyone without Blonde hair or blue eyes he wanted the nation all the same. If you didn't meet his standard you were a half breed and were not good enough. That's how many people got placed in the concentration camps.

In the movie life is beautiful the father and the son were taken to the concentration camp because they were Jewish and the father could not tell his 6 year old son what was going to happen to them so he made up a game and told his son that they were very lucky to be there. It was his sons birthday when they got taken so he had to make it seem happy for him. His moods were happy compared to every other person who was also in the camps. Once one of the Germans came in to talk to all of the prisoners in the camp the german couldn't speak Hebrew . So the father said he could translate but he didn't know German was saying so he was making everyone laugh because he was explaining the game to everyone instead of what the german was saying. Once that happened then the son really believed what the father was saying is true the father was grave for doing that because he could of died. Even though they had the father working like a slave he never gave up on his story that he was going to win the game and the tank that his son wanted. The father tried to persevered through the fact that he could die at anytime and the fact that he was in the camps.


Life is beautiful is shown as a life of a simple family who gets turned for the worse when the nazis stop by the store that the father owns. Later on the next day the father and the son get put on the train and the mother sees them so she has the nazis stop the train so that she can get on too. So there whole family was on there way to the concentration camp  the son was with the father and the mother was separated from them but they still managed to talk to each other. One day the father went to the speaker were they would say the announcements so he said if she was there that he loves her and he wants her to know that him and there son was safe. Then another day he played the song that they got married to through the speakers. So she known that they were safe another thing was when the father had to hide his son Joshua because the nazis had all of the children separated. He had to make sure that they couldn't see him then one day they were caught so the son had to go with the nazi children his father told him not to talk to anyone or they will lose the game. One of the fathers friends recognized him so he got his a job as a servant so he was giving everyone food and serving them they were trying to talk but the nazis were starting to catch on. The father was still able to see Joshua while he was working, At the end the father died and the son gets his tank with the mom.

Happiness

Happiness is swimming in a ice cold pool on a hot summer day.

Happiness is getting told good morning every morning.

Happiness is being with you're  love ones everyday.

Happiness is helping out the homeless on a cold or warm day.

Happiness is helping you're grandparents .

Happiness is taking yourr younger siblings out to the park.

Happiness is helping out making dinner when your parents are tired .

Happiness is volunteering at the food pantry .

Happiness is telling someone there beautiful.

Happiness is paying for someone's order In front of you .

Happiness is walking your dogs on a nice day .

Happiness is letting the next person know that they are not alone .

Happiness is telling your Mom / Dad know that you love and appreciate them .

Happiness is washing clothes with out being asked to .

Happiness is taking your cousin out to eat.

Happiness is helping someone carry their groceries.

Happiness is visiting the children's hospital and letting them know that they are not alone.

Happiness is being a positive person .

Happiness is handing out cold bottles of water to people on a hot day .

Happiness is being happy and being a positive person yourself.

Good life

Nick had to persevere through life, His life  without his arms or legs and he really never gave up so he persevered and persevered means you go through life and you never give up no matter how hard his problems where in life. Nick has also had a lot of confidence to get up in front of many schools and people judging him right of the bat but then he explains his life story and he dosent do it to get attention. He does it to let other people know that they are not alone . This also can apply to my life becaus I had to persevere when the hospital overdosed my grandfather. This was a very hard time for me because he means the world to me and I could never imagine losing my grandfather my whole family was down for that time because it hurt us all. But now he's slowly progressing. I had to stay positive and keep a good mindset so that he could get better. He had to be very strong because when he passed away he did not want to die so he kept on fighting and they where able to bring him back. Now he's having a lot of problems he got fried on his whole left side and he is in depression and where trying to get him better. All he needs in courage to help him guide and he needs to keep going and never give up . Same thing like nick he never gave up

Hyundai's 'live' commercial

The hyundial's car commercial, It really caught my attention because I've realized how fortunate I am to have people my mother / father with me 24/7. It caught my attention because a lot of kids that aren't able to have their parents for the holidays or special events. The whole story behind this commercial is to reunite the kids back with their Army parents. In this commercial they said that "Millions of people just watched the super bowl, But it wouldn't of been possible without our troops". So basically in the Commerical it points out 1main fact.The one fact is that it's never fun to leave your family behind when you have to go back to work so one special thing that the commercial put together was a live video of his or her family to watch together.

The gift that I'm most thankful for

The gift that I am thankful for is to have my grandpa alive after what had happened. And the reason behind all this is because on November 10th,2015 a tremendous ruination happened. On that beautiful morning of November my grandfather went into surgery at the Hines V.A hospital for his fistula they had to do surgery because both of his kidneys failed and what the fistula does is its a port in his chest that the doctors hook up to a dialysis machine and the machine pumps his blood and cleans it for him. Basically what the kidney does but instead he has a machine do it for him he needs this to live .We are hoping that in a year or two we can get a surgery that gives him a kidney but until then we have to just sit and wait he goes every other day at 4:00 Am .My mom wakes up and takes him to the hospital it's not every far but it's still a drive . Sometimes I go with her because I like being in a car to drive when it's dark out but I get really tired . But anyways on the 10th is when this all happened and it continued in the hospital for 7 more days he was in a coma for 7 days and once he woke they told us that he was never going to walk again. But then there was a miracle he began using the walker to help him walk when he was still in the hospital unfortunately he was in the hospital for thanks giving . That did not stop our family from having the same celebration that we have on thanksgiving . We would normally do it at my house but not that year we brought the party to the Hines v.a hospital we made all the food and brought it to the hospital . My grandfather was very happy to be with us eating thanksgiving dinner it was a very special day for our whole family because we had my grandfather alive with us . But that surgery was a horrible one they caused a lot of heart ache with my family . Because they overdosed him his heart went crazy and he had a heart attack and he had to get 4 stuns placed in his heart to keep it running. While they did this procedure they transferred him to Loyola hospital thankfully everything went okay and he's okay . Now we face so many new battles we have to get used to but I'm just very thankful that he's still alive and here with us. That's the gift I'm most thankful for!.

My mother is what makes me who I am

The one thing that makes me feel confident, is being with my mom she always makes me feel better and keeps me up when I'm feeling down .The main reason why I always feel confident when I'm with my mom is because she always told me when I was in my dark times is to never let anyone get the best of me no matter how hard the situation is . She has been by my side since day 1 and I know she will never leave my side.I had a lot of drama in my life and she was always there to make me better or keep a smile on my face I wouldn't be the same without my mom by my side today. You ever heard of a best friend /Mother well this explains it all sometimes we don't agree with each other 24/7 but what mother/ daughter does ? . All I know is that she makes me the happiest kid in the world and when I'm with her I feel like I can do anything she truly makes me happy and feel confident.

What my name stands for

The reason I got the name I did was because of my dad, I am his first girl and my mom wanted my name to be Riahannon because Steve nicks daughters name was that . that's my moms favorite singer also fleewoodmac , but my dad didn't like that so they picked something close to that so my dad decided to name me Breanna and for my middle name I have my moms first name as my middle name also my name means Strong and noble . My name is unique the way its spelled most people who name they kid Brianna is spelled with an I but my name is spelled with an E which is special and unique to me .

Monster

The book that I recently finished is called monster, And this book has a big twist to it like most books do but if you like Crime and mystery fiction this book is for you !. Now this book is about a teenager behind bars the reason why is because of a murder that James King and "Bobo" Evans participated in . Approximately 4 o'clock in the afternoon 2 men entered a drugstore on 145th street in harlem. The two men who where found at fault where Richard "Bobo" Evans and James King who participated in the murder and robbery. The kid who is writing this story is known as Bobo Evans is documenting everything about being in jail he is on trial right now and he said " Jail never looked to ruff from the outside". Meaning he never thought it would happen to him. James and Richard both planned to rob the drug store there will be evidence that prior to the robbery there was a plan or conspiracy, to rob the store . Mr.Evans and Mr.King were to enter the store and do the actual robbery. Another of the planners of this crime was to stand outside the drugstore and impede anyone chasing the robbers .




I would recommend this book to anyone who likes realistic fiction
